Southwestern Gastrointestinal Specialists would like to thank you for choosing our practice for your medical needs. In the last few years, insurance policies have changed tremendously. Deductibles, co-pays, and coinsurances have risen to an all time high. And due to this reason our practice will be changing its policy for unpaid patient balances.
Effective, October 1, 2018 all patient account balances must be paid in full 90 days from your first statement. Within this 90 day period there will be two options.
1) Pay your account in full.
2) Apply for "Care Credit."
Care Credit is a medical revolving line of credit to extend the length of you payment plan. Care Credit is one of the most notable medical credit lines available. Not only will this line of credit be available to use for our office but can be used anywhere that Care Credit is accepted. Dental, Veterinary, Cosmetic, Lasik & Vision, and Hearing are just a few other services this card can be used for. Also, if you have an existing Care Credit account you can use it for your services here. Care Credit offers Deferred Interest / No Interest if Paid in Full promotions and Fixed Payment / Reduced APR promotions. These options will help you pay your accounts, in full, and prevent them from going to a collection agency, which could negatively impacting your credit. Any account not satisfied with either one of these two options will be sent directly to a collection agency.
